Maria is a biopharma discovery and early development leader with 20+ years of experience across large and small biotech and pharma, spanning obesity and metabolism, cardiovascular disease, hepatology, GI, and respiratory indications. She build organizations, defines therapeutic area and portfolio strategy, and advance differentiated programs from target discovery through clinical development across small molecules, biologics, and RNA-based therapeutics.
Currently, Maria is responsible for establishing obesity discovery strategy, scaling a metabolism portfolio, and integrating newly acquired CVRM capabilities. Her work also includes enterprise portfolio strategy, external innovation and scientific diligence.
